BNP PARIBAS 2012

Andy Murray lost to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, not what us fans wanted to see after driving over 2 hrs to get there! But it was an intense match! Sharapova dominated against Dulko! Snuck in to some awesome tennis matches at the Tennis Garden and got to take home a practice ball! Good luck pros and I can't wait for the finals! :D

AUSSI OPEN

NOVAK DJOKOVIC AND ANDY MURRAY IN SEMIS TONIGHT! WHO DO YOU THINK WILL FACE NADAL IN THE FINALS?

Aussie Open Semi Final #1 Federer vs. Nadal

As always, a match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal draws enormous attention and for very good reasons.  They met once again last night in the Aussie Open Semi's, a wonderful gift to the fans on Australia Day.  These two world-class players have dramatic history in major matches.  Before last nights match, they have played 9 GrandSlam matches against each other, 7 of the matches were won by Rafa.  I stayed up to watch the match because there will not be too many more of these matches to watch.  Roger is on the decline in his career, and soon, tennis fans will not have the luxury of seeing 2 of the best tennis players of all time play each other.  The match was great, but disappointing.  I was pulling for Federer since he does not have many more chances at winning a Grand Slam title, and even though he got off to a hot start, he was no match for Rafa.  You can never count Nadal out of a match. The slightest change in momentum is all it takes for Rafa to turn the match around.   He did just that against Roger last night as Nadal continuously found himself in tough situations, but would miraculously win points, then games, then sets, and eventually the match.  You have to give credit where credit is due. Nadal is a tough cookie and always has a chance at winning the match.  It will be an exciting Aussie Open Final, when Nadal faces off against either #1 Djokovic or #4 Murray.  I give Djokovic a big edge in that game, and expect Djokovic to continue his dominance and take home his 2nd straight Aussie Open Championship.  It will be fun to watch, as the final matches of the 2012 Australian Open unfold.

Late Night Novak

Novak Djokovic made an appearance on The Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno recently.  He was very entertaining as always, and even surprises Leno with a little dance in the end! Enjoy!
